COMPANY UPDATES - FendX Technologies (FDXTF:OTC, FNDX:CSE)

FendX Technologies (FDXTF:OTC, FNDX:CSE) just provided a new corporate update highlighting significant progress across several key areas as the company advances its proprietary pathogen-repelling nanotechnology.

According to FendX President and CEO Dr. Carolyn Myers, the company has achieved major scale-up milestones for its lead product in development, the REPELWRAP^TM antimicrobial nano-film. FendX has now successfully completed two pilot production runs with manufacturing partner Dunmore Corporation, a Steel Partners Holdings L.P. (SPLP:NYSE) operating company, confirming the film's formulation can be produced at an intermediate scale using automated processes while maintaining efficacy.

FendX aims to refine the manufacturing process further and test the scaled-up films under real-world conditions. If ongoing trials continue to go well, the company is targeting a commercial launch in Canada in Fall 2024, focused first on healthcare settings based on the immense need for improved infection control solutions.

Beyond the flagship REPELWRAP^TM film, FendX has expanded its product pipeline by recently licensing an antimicrobial nano-spray coating from McMaster University. Research is underway on initial development and an agreement with nanoComposix, LLC ("nanoComposix"), a Fortis Life Sciences Company, has been signed to use their nanomaterials experience to start the scale-up development work on the spray formulation.

The company is also exploring anti-microbial catheter coatings to prevent dangerous infections and clotting issues.

On the intellectual property front, FendX continues to build its patent portfolio having filed over 10 applications to date and recently receiving a Chinese patent grant. Additionally, the company achieved key capital markets milestones including obtaining DTC eligibility in the US along with a final base shelf prospectus.
